Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta issues notices on tenders awarded to Shivraj's brother

BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta has started an investigation into allegations of corruption in tenders awarded by Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) to a company co-owned by former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s brother.The special police establishment (SPE) has issued notices to BMC commissioner, seeking documents of tenders awarded to the firm for installation of gantries in Bhopal in 2016, said sources. BMC had appointed MANIT experts to check the structures for stability.
