Online workshop on Tanjore painting held

An art workshop on Tanjore painting is being organised online. On the first day, the participants were told about Tanjore art and its origons. It is to be noted that Thanjavur painting is a classical South Indian painting style, which was inaugurated from the town of Thanjavur anglicized as Tanjore and spread across the adjoining and geographically contiguous Tamil country. Thanjavur Paintings ar mostly subjected To Hindu God, Goddesses and Saints episodes from Hindu Relics or Religious texts visualized and sketched in the painting.
