TESS-India project to be launched in five districts of Odisha

There are also plans to create a state resource group to develop Odia massive open online course (MOOC) for secondary school teachers. The capacity of teachers will be enhanced through a massive open online course, open educational resources and teacher development units in different schools of these districts. Directorate of Teacher Education and State Council of Educational Research and Training (TE & SCERT) is the nodal agency for implementation of the project in the state. BHUBANESWAR: In a bid to improve teaching abilities of school teachers in Odisha government has decided to implement TESS (Teacher Education through School-based Support) programme in all schools of one block each in five districts. The programme will be implemented in districts like Khorda, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, and Rayagada.A state resource group comprising of teacher educators and officers involved in teacher training on development and use of open educational resources have also been formed..
