BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday spoke to his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu seeking probe into death of Odia student Shreyas Kesharwani by an independent agency.The chief minister intervened in the matter after Shreyas’s parents met Naveen at secretariat and requested to ensure proper investigation into the matter.“Spoke to Andhra Pradesh CM @ncbn over phone & requested for probe by an independent agency into death of Odia student Shreyas Kesharwani in a Visakhapatnam college in January this year. On December 26, some students of the hostel allegedly thrashed Shreyas severely. He sustained injuries and informed the vice-principal of the institute about the incident.His parents alleged that the college authorities had not made any arrangement for Shreyas’s treatment.
