Man held with fake notes worth Rs 3 lakh from Jatni station

He was travelling from Malda (West Bengal) to Bengaluru when DRI officials intercepted him in the running train a few kilometres before Jatni station. "We are interrogating him to elicit information about the supplier and know the trail of supply and delivery of the fake notes. He told us that the person, who gave him the fake notes, brought it from Bangladesh. Sources said when DRI officials were busy with paper work, he ran towards the exit gate. Since the fake notes were smuggled into India from Bangladesh, we are also trying to find out whether the notes were printed in that country or its neighbouring nations," the official said..
