Foot overbridge in city station is ready for public use

BHUBANESWAR: The third foot overbridge (FOB) connecting platform 1 to 6 of Bhubaneswar railway station was opened for public use on Monday. It has also received record footfall of more than 1.68 crore passengers during the last financial year. This new FOB was highly essential to address this problem, he added.The city railway station has managed to earn revenue of Rs 355.4 crore from ticketing in 2017-18. It was constructed in view of heavy rush in the station during morning and evening time.East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources said the six-metre wide FOB is the largest one in the state. Sometimes the FOBs get crowded when two or three passenger trains reach or leave the station at the same time..
