Nandighosa chariot reaches Gundicha temple after halt

BHUBANESWAR: Pulling of Lord Jagannath’s chariot Nandighosa that stopped in the middle on Saturday, resumed amid heavy downpour at Grand Road in Puri on Sunday.Braving the intermittent rain, devotees and policemen pulled the chariot to Gundicha temple from Balagandi Chhak on Sunday morning. The chariots of Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra had reached Gundicha temple on Saturday.The Medical Square on Grand Road where the chariots were being pulled witnessed waterlogging for a few hours. The MeT office has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coastal town in the next 25 hours. The deities will be taken into the sanctum sanctorum of the temple on Monday.“I feel lucky and blessed that I got a chance to pull the chariot of Lord Jagannath without whom will nothing can happen in this world.
