Airport body holds vigilance workshop

RAIPUR: The corporate vigilance department of Airport Authority of India had organised a two-day workshop on Preventive Vigilance - A Tool for Better Governance on July 26 and 27 at Swami Vivekananda Airport, in Raipur. The workshop also deliberated on various preventive vigilance measures to achieve good governance . Interactive sessions were conducted by key dignitaries from the department including the chief vigilance officer of AAI, RS Bhatti.The event was attended by around 52 participants from airports like Bagdogra Patna , Gaya, Port Blair, Pekyong, Jharsuguda, Kolkata, Raipur and Bhubaneswar.The workshop focused on various facets of vigilance such as preventive, punitive, surveillance and proactive vigilance. Special thrust was put on innovative measures to engageIT to attain maximum transparency and to minimise discretion in the process followed by AAI and in decision making.
