ROURKELA: At least 20 workers were injured, six of them critically, when an under-construction bridge in Bonei sub-division of Sundargarh district collapsed on Sunday afternoon. The injured were taken to Bonei hospital from where the six were shifted to Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) after their condition deteriorated. "Six injured persons have been sent to Rourkela Government Hospital since their condition is stated to be critical," said Rabindra Sethi , the assistant collector of Bonei. "The Sundargarh collector has formed a committee, comprising administrative and technical personnel, to conduct an inquiry into the incident and submit a report," he added.Sources said the 50-metre-long bridge was being constructed under the Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
