Three detained in Khurda ATM breakin case

BHUBANESWAR: Khurda district police on Friday detained three youths, who allegedly uprooted an ATM in Tulasipur and decamped with the machine on November 12. We engaged a scuba diver of fire services wing to retrieve the uprooted ATM,” SP (Khurda) Dipti Ray told TOI.Police did not divulge the names of the accused persons, including an ITI passout. A police source said the accused used gas cutters to break into the ATM after uprooting it on November 12. The police found the uprooted ATM from a canal at Pahal on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.“We are questioning the three persons, who allegedly stole over Rs 1 lakh from the ATM and dumped the machine in the water body. “Since our inquiry is still underway, we will reveal their names and other details on Saturday,” another police officer said..
