Schools running without NOC invites child rights panel ire

BHUBANESWAR: Expressing concern over the future of students studying in different English-medium schools running without No Objection Certificate (NOC), the National Commission of Protection for Child Rights (NCPCR) issued a notice to the state government. The process of obtaining NOC is a lengthy and cumbersome process while applications of schools are pending with the government for years. If the standard of government schools would have improved, why we had to send our children to private schools?,” said Ranjita Mohanty, another parent. “Some schools are running for more than 10 or 20 years. How can we know that these schools do not have NOC?.
