Berhampur: Ganjam district administration has geared up to make special arrangements for persons with disabilities (PwDs) and elderly voters at polling booths to ensure their large participation in the forthcoming twin elections. Of the total 15, 24,391 voters in the district, 48,846 are PwDs.“We will make pick and drop facilities for the PwDs so that they can exercise of their franchise smoothly,” said district collector Vijay Amruta Kulange. Women polling officers have been specially trained for this purpose, official sources said.The administration has also decided to set up 11 model booths in the district.
