Bhubaneswar: Xavier University, Bhubaneswar has planned to launch its first edition of 'XUB Green Marathon' organized by Sports Committee of XUB to promote and raise awareness regarding sustainability, and meet XUB's vision to address sustainability issues and encourage green practices. This Green marathon would mark the beginning of Xamboree'19, the flagship event of XUB, which is stated to be the biggest Cultural – Management fest of Eastern India. The Sports Committee of XUB believes in sustainability being a lifestyle that each individual must adapt. The marathon will begin at 6:00 a.m.
and will see the participants run for 6 kilometers till Janta Maidan, Bhubaneswar. All the runners would be provided with saplings, to be sown at three junctions to promote a clean and green future..
