Bhubaneswar, 1st October 2019: To make society senior citizens friendly, on the eve of International Senior Citizens Day 2019, a state level function was organized by the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Odisha at Utkal Mandap here today. Bratati Harichandan, Director, Department of Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Odisha were also present during this event. During the felicitation ceremony at Utkal Mandap, Katak Baristha Nagarika Mahasabha, Cuttack was being felicitated as Best Institution for providing services to senior Citizens and Awareness Generation. At the outset of the day for senior citizens a Yoga camp was organized at IG Park on 7 AM to make our senior citizens stay fit always where huge number of footfalls was witnessed. Followed by the Yoga camp, an awareness walkathon was also organized for creating awareness among the society about safety and security of senior citizens..
