Initially, Tapu defeated Covid-19 but later after recovering she started having problems again and her lungs were also damaged to a great extent.
She was on a ventilator for the last two days before her death.
Her oxygen level had dropped to 45.
Tapu`s father also succumbed to Covid-19.
Tapu was also admitted to the hospital on May 19, 9 days after her father`s death.
The family members of Tapu Mishra were planning to get her admitted to ECMO in Kolkata as she was not getting much benefit from the treatment being given in the hospital and her condition remained critical.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the death of Tapu on Twitter, "I am saddened to learn of the death of popular singer Tapu Mishra.
