Odisha reopens schools for class 10th, 12th from July 26, online classes to continue as well

Odisha government has decided to reopen the schools for class 10th and 12th from July 26, 2021.

School and mass education secretary, Satyabrata Sahu says that this decision will be implemented on both government and private schools.

According to the issued order, schools will remain open for five days in a week i.e.

from Monday to Friday.

Satyabir Sahu said, "We have been able to reach only 40 per cent of the total students through online learning, while the other 60 per cent are still left behind.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, school students in the state have lost 150 days of classroom teaching".

The Education Secretary also said that the schools hosting the matriculation examinations will reopen only after the examinations are over.

The school timings will be from 10 am to 1:30 pm.
