In Panjab University gym, 500 perform asanas

CHANDIGARH: Panjab University (PU) celebrated 4th International Yoga Day with more than 500 people including students, faculties, local residents, NSS volunteers participating at Gymnasium Hall from 6am to 8am. Interdisciplinary Centre for Swami Vivekananda Studies (ICSVS), PU, also organised a halfday retreat on ‘developing self ’.Yoga Protocol by Ashupratap was attended by students and teachers. Prof Nandita Singh, coordinator, ICSVS, while introducing the theme of the program said, “Yoga should be adopted by the youth as a way of life for enhancing their potential as it has the ability to bring a balance between body and mind, develops focus and gives us direction.”A lecture on ‘Yoga in the making of Inner Persona’ by Indu Aggarwal director, Disha for Success, was organised..
