GRAFT CASETribune News ServicePatiala, July 11The Vigilance Bureau on Wednesday procured the police remand of two women cops who were arrested on Tuesday, while allegedly accepting a bribe. Sources in the VB said the two cops were taken to court, where the department had procured their remand for a day as they wanted custodial interrogation of the two cops. Vigilance Bureau officials have confirmed that they had arrested the SHO of Women cell, Balwinder Kaur, and an ASI Sukhwinder Kaur, in the same cell, while allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant, Sandeep Singh . As per the complaint, Sandeep Singh had a matrimonial dispute pending at the police station and Balwinder Kaur was dilly-dallying with his case, following which Sukhwinder Kaur allegedly demanded money from him to settle the matter as per his convenience..
