Ambala: Ex-servicemen protest against Khali event

Ambala: At the Continental Wrestling Entertainment event organised by wrestler Great Khali on Tuesday at Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Ambala, some Pakistan-based wrestlers allegedly raised ‘Pakistand Zindabad’ slogans. The ex-servicemen while protesting raised anti-Pakistan and anti-Khali slogans.DC Sharandeep Kaur while talking to media said, “I have received a memorandum from Ex-Servicemen Welfare Committee Ambala alleging that some of the wrestlers during the CWE event have raised Pakistan Zindabad slogans. Furious over the pro-Pakistan slogans, ex-servicemen of Ambala staged a protest against the event and also burnt effigies of Khali for hurting sentiments of the public.The events organised by Khali have been in controversy for various reasons and some experts called it a publicity stunt.Ambala Ex-Servicemen Welfare Committee under the leadership of president Atar Singh Multani burnt the effigy of Khali and also handed over a memorandum demanding action against culprits to DC.
