Chandigarh: Ahead of PM visit, V P Singh Badnore inspects EWS category flats

Chandigarh Administrator V P Singh Badnore on Tuesday reviewed Chandigarh Housing Board’s Rehabilitation scheme in Maloya, under which 4,960 flats were constructed for slum dwellers. The rehabilitation scheme is being executed by the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB). The flats constructed have one room and are for EWS people. Badnore, along with senior officers of UT Administration, reviewed the completed work as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit the site next month and hand over the keys to the dwellers. A total of 18 colonies have been identified by the administration, whose inhabitants are to be rehabilitated inflats constructed under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM)..
