Punjab DGP Suresh Arora gets 3rd extension

But on Punjab government’s request, the central government granted three months service extension to him till December 31, 2018. CHANDIGARH: As the Supreme Court declined Punjab government’s plea on Wednesday to allow it to appoint next DGP of its own choice, the union ministry of home affairs extended Punjab DGP Suresh Arora’s service by nine months. He superannuates on May 31, 2020, and would thus be left with only eight months of service when Arora retires.
