Convicts to get judgment copies in emailCHANDIGARH: Special CBI judge Jagdeep Singh on Wednesday agreed to the Haryana government's plea to sentence controversial Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and three others convicted for the 2002 murder of Sirsa-based journalist Ram Chander Chhatarpati, the editor of 'Poora Sach' newspaper, through video conferencing on January 17.The Panchkula-based judge will deliver region's first e-judgement on Thursday when he will pronounce quantum of sentence against the Dera chief, who is incarcerated in Rohtak 's Sunaria jail since August 2017 serving 20-year sentence for rape of two female devotees.Gurmeet along with Dera manager Krishan Lal and two Dera carpenters Kuldeep Singh and Nirmal Singh was convicted for the journalist's murder on January 11.The four men will attend the sentencing through video conferencing from their iails — the Dera chief from Sunaria jail and the other three from Ambala jail.The four convicts will be given copies of judgment sent through email by their jail authorities..
