The marriage between Kiran and Parvinder had been arranged by their families, which are distantly related. Kiran is the niece of Parvinder's aunt (wife of his father's brother), who had stayed back in Sialkot during Partition.The two first met in 2014, when Kiran came to stay with her relatives at Tepla village along with her family. On Thursday, they reached Delhi via the Samjhauta Express .
