In a bid to check reckless use of rickshaws, animal carts and rehris, the Administration has approved the bylaws proposed by the MC. A fee of Rs 600 has been fixed for registration, while Rs 300 will have to be paid as the driving licence fee for 15 years. The licence to ply rickshaws and rehris will only be issued to bona fide residents of the city, above the age of 18. According to an estimate, there are around 5,000 to 6,000 rickshaws in the city..
