Complainant Gurdeep Singh Ahluwalia appealed for removal of alleged encroachment upon public verandah outside the shops at the MC premises. As per complainant, the MC had sold 10 shops on its premises through an auction. It said as per conditions of the MC, no one could alter or encroach upon without prior permission of the civic body. The MC’s officials have ignored illegal construction as they are hand-in-glove with the owners.”When contacted, Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Khaira, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, said he has not received the summons yet..
