Patiala, August 16Irked over being removed from a WhatsApp group, three people allegedly assaulted the admin of the group. The suspects have been identified as Pawan Kumar, Sujit Ram of Patran town and Joginder Singh of Shutrana block of the district. Victim Sunil Kumar was beaten around 7 pm on Tuesday evening at his office in Patran after he removed the trio from “Car Dealer Association” group on WhatsApp. According to the complainant, he had removed a few people from the WhatsApp group on Monday for for sharing irrelevant information. After repeated reminders, I had to remove them.”The complainant further said the WhatsApp group was only for sharing cars related information, but the trio had posted religious posts which had hurt sentiments of other members..
