We were compelled by the Health Department to go on a strike, he said. He said their main demands include implementation of the order of the Supreme Court on “Equal pay for equal work” which has been adopted by the Haryana Government for NHM employees from January 1, 2018 to frame state regularisation policy for the employees. He said the union had demanded that the UT Administration should contribute its share in the NHM or demand extra budget from the Centre for NHM employees on the pattern of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA)..
