RO firm fined for ‘misleading’ consumer

The complainant said before 2002, he had purchased a water purifier from Eureka Forbes on an exchange offer. He was told that the Reviva Reverse Osmosis (RO) system would discharge more purified water, which was very essential for his family’s good health. He also underwent platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy four times at IRCC Hospital in Sector 17, Panchkula, at Rs 40,000. The forum held that the complainant was not apprised of the harmful effect of the RO system installed at his house..
