2-day immunisation round: Over 76,000 kids given polio drops

Tribune News ServiceChandigarh, September 16Nearly 76,822 children were immunised during the two-day Sub-National Immunisation Round (SNID) against polio in the UT on September 15 and 16. Approximately, 80 supervisors monitored the activity for which 602 teams (each team comprising two members) of vaccinators were deployed for house-to-house visits. The teams visited the vulnerable areas, including Khuda Lahora, Khuda Jassu, Sarangpur, Resettlement Colony Dhanas, Kaimbwala, Maloya, Daddu Majra, Madrasi Colony, Indira Colony, Bapudham, Mauli village, Vikas Nagar, Mani Majra, Colony No. 4, Faidan, Hallo Majra, Ram Darbar, Attawa, Palsora, Behlana, Raipur Khurd, Kajheri, Kishangarh, Dariya, Tin Colony, Janta Colony, Bhagwanpura, Citco, Shastri Nagar and all construction sites to immunise kids with pulse polio drops.
