Twin titles for Yashveer

Chandigarh, September 16Yashveer Goyal, a hearing and speech impaired youth from Bathinda, won a gold medal in the doubles category, while he bagged a bronze in the singles competition at the 10th Punjab State Deaf Badminton Championship held in Jalandhar. Yashveer was accompanied by Jalandhar's Deepak Arora in the doubles competition. Following his twin medals at the championship, the 20-year-old has been selected for the state badminton team that would participate in the national championship for the deaf to be held in Gurugram in January 2020. Goyal received the achievement award in the Global IT Challenge for Youths, held in Hanoi, Vietnam, in 2017.
