Kher opens rail underbridge at Mani Majra

Tribune News ServiceChandigarh, November 11A rail underbridge (RUB) was inaugurated by Kirron Kher, MP, at the Mani Majra railway crossing today, which will not only provide additional connectivity between Chandigarh and Panchkula, but will also facilitate smooth movement of traffic from the Housing Board complex, Mani Majra, to Chandigarh. Kher inaugurated the bridge in the presence of UT Adviser Manoj Parida and other officers of the UT Administration. After the inauguration, the MP said the project would provide relief to residents of Mani Majra. With the construction of the RUB, the residents will no longer have to wait at the railway crossing for trains to pass. This comprises a share of Rs 2 crore from the Railway Ministry and Rs 5.25 crore from the UT Administration..
