BRIEFLYChandigarh: All OPDs at the PGI and the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, will remain closed on Tuesday on account of Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary. As many as 8,024 patients visited the general and special OPDs and 314 patients reached the emergency OPD at the PGI on Monday. To avoid inconvenience to patients, OPDs and investigation services remained functional at the GMCH in spite of the declaration of a holiday by the UT Administration on Monday. The victim, who sustained serious injuries, was taken to the GMCH, Chandigarh, where he died later. The body has been kept at the mortuary at the GMCH for 72 hours for identification..
