While addressing the gathering, the MP said the sewer connection of each house would be made independently with newly laid municipal sewer and the blockage of sewer system would be solved permanently and the residents would get clean potable water. Mayor Rajesh Kalia said the work should be completed in one year at an estimated cost of Rs 3.47 crore. The population in the colony had now increased manifold as compared to 1990. The sewer system is running over capacity and frequent blockage of sewer system causes contamination of potable water supply and sometimes creates unhealthy conditions for the residents due to overflowing sewers..
