Tribune News ServiceChandigarh, November 20Society for Promotion of IT in Chandigarh (SPIC) under the aegis of the IT Department, Chandigarh, hosted a workshop on the artificial intelligence (AI) today. Experts from industry and academia presented talks on the AI during the workshop. Among speakers were Kapil Khanna, an IT expert, Abhishek Sharma, a US-returned software engineer, who runs an AI-based startup in the city. The event was organised by SPIC in sync with the mandate of Niti Aayog to establish the national programme on the AI with a view to guide research and development in new and emerging technologies.
