MC Commissioner Rajesh Jogpal said, “Electric vehicle charging stations will come up in the next 2-3 weeks and will be completely free during initial days. There are around 350 e-vehicles in the tricity.”“We have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) to accelerate push towards the green city certification for Panchkula,” he said. “More than 4.77 lakh km has been covered using bicycle sharing service saving more than 11 lakh kg carbon emission,” Jogpal said. As many as 15 employees have been deputed by the corporation for the purpose and parking slips are issued to two-wheelers and four-wheelers..
