UT halves traders’ onion stock limit

In an order issued today by the Food and Civil Supplies Department, the onion stock limit has been reduced to half. Now, wholesalers are allowed to keep only 25 MT instead of 50 MT, while retailers can keep only 5 MT instead of 10 MT allowed earlier. Sources said the city received only 700 quintals of onion today.
