Students convert IC engine into electric vehicle

Mohali, December 6Students of Department of Mechanical Engineering of Rayat Bahra University have converted an internal combustion engine (IC) car into an electric vehicle. The students fabricated the two-seater car, named MiniME16. The electric car can travel at a speed of 80 km in a single charge using four 12V batteries, powerful 1.5 KW motor and a solar panel on top to aid continuous charging.
