Covid-19 update: First death case of a health worker reported in Chandigarh

With these six deaths, the death toll in the UT has gone up to 154.

While 171 new Covid-19 deaths reported on Monday took the total infection tally of the UT to 11,678.

A 45-year-old woman was working as a radiographer at the Government Multi Specialty Hospital in Sector 16.

According to the hospital authorities, she contracted the infection 10 days ago and was shifted to the Civil Hospital, Sector 48, after her oxygen level dipped.

A senior doctor said: “She was fine till Saturday.

Her health deteriorated yesterday.

She again collapsed this morning and suffered a cardiac arrest.
