The district witnessed a sudden surge in Covid cases as 64 cases were reported on Wednesday against 39 cases on Tuesday showing an increase of 50 per cent. Since February 1 only 15 to 20 cases were being reported but there has been a constant increase in the Covid cases recently. On February 17 the active cases had gone down to 360. However within a week the active cases have gone up to 501 — an increase of 39.16 per cent..
