Covid spike Mohali administration advises people to avoid non essential activities

Tribune News ServiceMohali April 18In view of the highest Covid cases of 880 being reported in a day in the Mohali district since the outbreak of the pandemic last year the district administration on Sunday advised people to avoid non-essential activities. He said the district administration was fully prepared as seven big hospitals have been directed to reserve 50 per cent beds for Covid patients. Dayalan said the only long term solution for the Covid was vaccination to improve herd immunity. He said even though the persons who have completed the vaccination will also get infected but it would have lesser impact. He urged all eligible people including the health care workers and the front line workers to come out and get vaccinated..
