He said the district administration was fully prepared as seven big hospitals have been directed to reserve 50 per cent beds for Covid patients. Dayalan said the only long term solution for the Covid was vaccination to improve herd immunity. He said even though the persons who have completed the vaccination will also get infected but it would have lesser impact. He urged all eligible people including the health care workers and the front line workers to come out and get vaccinated..
