PATIALA: One person was arrested for physically assaulting a traffic policeman outside Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib after he was stopped from driving his vehicle on the wrong side of the road on Tuesday.The accused, who was later identified as Himanshu Mittal (29) is a local businessman and a resident of Model Town. A video of the whole incident was recorded by one of the shopkeepers in the area and soon the video went viral.The cops rounded up Himanshu and took him to Civil Lines police station where a case was registered against him on charges of physical assault and stopping a public servant from discharging his duty. Confirming the registration of the case, station house officer Jai Inder Singh said they were recording the statements of those present at the spot and had even secured the video clipping of the incident.According to police, Himanshu had failed to produce registration documents of the vehicle till the filing of the FIR and also didn't have a driving license..
