Rs 100 crore sanctioned for 14 Himachal Pradesh tourism projects

SHIMLA: Chief minister Virbhadra Singh on Friday said Rs 100 crore had been sanctioned under the Himalayan Tourist Circuit for development of 14 tourism projects in Himachal Pradesh. He said that the lawn and park of the old building could be converted into a museum.He also launched a 20-minute film on tourism circuit of Himachal Pradesh. At the meeting, the chief minister was provided detailed information about the ongoing convention centre between Patlikul and Manali. "After the completion of ropeways, Himachal Pradesh would be a global tourism destination of choice for religious and adventure tourism," he said.An agreement for four ropeway projects on build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis has already been signed, which includes around Rs 150 crore - Dharamshala-McLeodganj, Rs 289 crore - Adi-Himani-Chamunda, Rs 340 crore - Palchan-Rohtang and around Rs 94 crore - Bhuntar Bijli Mahadev.
