It's a matter of great surprise that she learnt about women's cricket only after three years into honing her skills as cricketer. “I used to train with men at the cricket coaching centre until a fellow trainee told me about women’s cricket. At 13, Gomathi Rajam developed a liking for cricket and signed up with a coaching centre. Her plan for the future is simple and can be expressed in a short sentence: “My greatest ambition is to play for India.” She rates her bowling performaces against Goa in 2011 and 2015 as her best moments in competitive cricket so far..
