Stella Maris gets new herbal garden

The garden was set up with inputs from herbal plants enthusiast Subashree Vijay. She recalled a visit to the herbal garden inside the Iyyappan temple in Tiruchi and how the plants had provided a relaxing atmosphere. As one enters the campus of Stella Maris College, the sweet scent of canonball (Nagalinga) flowers wafts by. The college has a new thematic herbal garden where many varieties of plants including tulasi, mehandi, katrazhai, thippili vasambu and arali have been planted in five concentric semi-circles.
