Dry weather in Chennai for next two days: Met

CHENNAI: The city is likely to remain dry for the next two days, the met office has said. In the 24 hours until 8.30am on Friday, several parts recorded heavy to exceptionally heavy rainfall. The daytime temperature has returned to normal after swinging between extremes over the past two weeks.The maximum temperature at Nungambakkam on Friday was 35.6 Celsius. Chinnakalar (Coimbatore) received 26cm rainfall, Valparai (Coimbatore) 21cm, Devala (Nilgiris) 11cm, Periyar (Theni) 9cm, Naduvattam (Nilgiris) and Sengottai (Tirunelveli) 7cm each.
