Chennai rly stn gets 5K ltr drinking water plant

CHENNAI: A new 5,000 litre drinking water vending RO (reverse osmosis) plant was commissioned at Chennai Central railway station on Thursday.This new facility was donated to the Railways by the Rajasthani Association of Tamil Nadu as a social cause.This plant, situated in the new concourse area near platforms 9, 10 and 11, will help reduce the use of plastic water bottles.Divisional railway manager Naveen Gulati, additional divisional railway manager K Manoj, station director B Guganesan, divisional commercial manager N Narain and office-bearers and members of the Rajasthani Association, Ashok Mehta, CA Rajendra, Suraj Saklecha and Vinod Jain were present during the commissioning of the plant..
