CHENNAI: Television actress Nilani , who attempted to end her life after her boyfriend committed suicide, has disappeared, after she was discharged from the Government Royapettah Hospital (GRH) along with her two children.The Valasaravakkam police have registered a case under the IPC Section 309 (attempt to commit suicide) against Nilani. She collapsed at her house after consuming liquid mosquito repellent.A police team went to the actor’s house but they had to return empty-handed as it was locked.The police personnel tried to reach her on her mobile, which also remained turned off.The team inquired with some of her neighbours and returned after asking them to inform them if they come to know anything about her.Nilani told police that she was not responsible for the suicide of her boyfriend Gandhi Lalith Kumar, who ended his life last week, soon after she lodged a police complaint against him for harassing her to marry him.Earlier, Nilani approached the city police commissioner’s office and submitted a complaint to take action against those spreading rumours against her..
