Gold jewellery stolen from Madurai home

MADURAI: Burglars broke into a house here on Monday and decamped with gold jewellery weighing 15 sovereigns.The burglary happened in the house of K Alagarsamy, 48, of Kuberan Nagar in Kalligudi. The burglary came to light when they returned home in the evening.The stolen jewellery included necklace, bangles, ring and chain.Based on a complaint filed by Alagarsamy, the Kallikudi police registered a case. The burglary happened after both went for work on Monday.The burglars gained entry into the house by breaking open the grill gate and the main door.
