MADURAI: Police registered a case against a Tamil teacher at a private school in Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu for alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old boy.Students and parents were perplexed over the homosexual abuse that took place on Thursday evening. The parents took the boy to the school and reported it to the management.On Friday morning, the victim lodged a complaint with the Kottar police, who referred it to the Nagercoil all-woman police as the victim is a minor.Police said that the man was secured and was being questioned about the allegations.He has been booked under sections 4 (punishment for penetrative sexual assault), 5(f) (whoever being on the management or staff of an education institution commits penetrative sexual assault on a child in the institution) and 6 (punishment for aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Section 506(ii) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. A case was registered against the teacher and he was picked up on Friday for questioning.The victim is a Class VIII student in the private school, where the 28-year-old teacher, M Nagarajan of Chidambaranagar in Nagercoil, teaches Tamil.During the lunch break on Thursday afternoon, the teacher took the boy with him to his house, which is near the school, and performed oral sex on the boy.It is learnt that the boy was confused for a while and screamed when he realised what was happening..
