CHENNAI: Police on Tuesday arrested a 48-year-old man after they found nine cameras hidden in bathrooms and other places at a working women’s hostel he ran in Adambakkam.Investigators seized three cameras hidden in electrical sockets, two in bulbs, three in wrist-watches and one in a coat-hanger along with three laptops, two tablet mobiles, 10 mobile phones and one hard disk from Sampath Raj before a court sent him to jail. While the stilt area was a parking lot, the three rooms on the first and second floors housed six IT professionals and a professor of a private college, a police officer said. She opened it and out tumbled a camera.The woman immediately confronted Sampath Raj who threatened to upload her nude photographs and videos on social media sites including on Facebook, the officer said.The professor lodged a complaint with the Adambakkam police..
